Remote Senior Backend Engineer II - Money

Description:

• Own backend services for customer accounts and money movement from design to production.
• Design scalable, secure backend services and APIs for accounts, balances, transfers, and payments.
• Integrate with banks and payment networks, ensuring resilience and correctness in money flows.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience, particularly with production services handling money.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Go, or another modern backend language.
• Solid understanding of microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and distributed transactions.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, caching (Redis), and messaging (Kafka).
• Familiarity with banking domain concepts such as ledgers and payment networks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and CI/CD practices.
