Remote Staff Engineer (Backend) - Money

Description:

• Lead the technical direction for systems managing customer money, including ledger, account, and payment systems.
• Design fault-tolerant, secure services and review critical designs from other teams.
• Mentor Senior Engineers and promote engineering standards for reliability and performance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Proficient in Java, Go, or another modern backend language.
• Strong expertise in microservices, event-driven architectures, and reliability engineering.
• Knowledge of banking domain, ledgers, payment networks, and reconciliation.
• Experience with Kafka, Redis, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
