Remote Senior Backend Engineer (Python) (Remote)

Description:

• Join a small, fast-moving team at Scalera, an ETH Zurich spin-off, building AI-powered procurement software for the European construction industry.
• Collaborate with engineering team to develop services and APIs for Scalera’s AI-driven platform, focusing on integrating AI models and processing complex datasets.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience, primarily using Python.
• Strong API design skills and experience with RESTful systems.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or Django in production.
• Solid understanding of databases, data modeling, and query optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD and a focus on code quality and maintainability.
• Ability to work in ambiguous environments and deliver results.
• Interest in AI/ML systems and their production behavior.
• Clear communication and strong collaboration skills.
