Description:

Senior Software Engineers II at Confluent own critical backend systems for the data streaming platform.
Lead design and delivery of large-scale, distributed services that are secure, highly available, and easy to operate.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in building, scaling, and operating backend systems in production.
Proficiency in at least one major backend programming language (Java, Go, C/C++, Python).
Experience with distributed systems and understanding of consistency, fault tolerance, and performance tradeoffs.
Strong experience with public cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling for performance optimization.
Proven track record of technical leadership and collaboration skills.
BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
