Description:

  • Smarsh empowers its customers to manage risk and unleash intelligence in their digital communications.
  • The company serves over 6500 organizations in regulated industries, helping them identify compliance, legal, or reputational risks in over 80 communication channels.
  • The Solutions Engineer will be the primary point of contact for the technical/solutions aspects of an enterprise B2B sales cycle.
  • This role involves close collaboration with the enterprise sales team, product teams, success management, and professional services.
  • Responsibilities include assisting sales with the discovery process, demonstrating how products can help achieve business outcomes, and providing deep technical expertise during the sales process.
  • The Solutions Engineer will conduct technical presentations, influence and capture technical requirements, and own the architecture blueprint.
  • They will provide technical leadership during complex Proofs of Concept engagements and lead technical responses for RFI/RFP/RFQ processes.
  • The role requires preparing internal solution design proposals for complex deployments and working with various departments for large implementations.
  • Staying informed on industry news, trends, and product developments is essential.
  • Regular updates to systems of record with presales notes and collateral are expected.
  • The position may require travel for internal and external meetings, approximately 30-40% of the time.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates should have experience in enterprise architecture, IT consulting, sales engineering, or software engineering in an enterprise environment.
  • A professional demeanor with a strong work ethic, self-starter attitude, and creativity is essential.
  • Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, or Data Visualization is preferred.
  • Strong personal skills to build relationships with senior business and technical teams are necessary.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment is required.
  • Superb verbal and written communication skills are essential for gathering, documenting, and presenting the value of solutions.
  • Candidates must be adept at overcoming prospect concerns and ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes from complex technology integrations.
  • Organization, prioritization, and planning skills are essential for managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Subject matter expertise in Surveillance/Supervision, eDiscovery, Archiving, and/or unstructured data platforms is a plus.
  • Industry knowledge in Financial Services and other highly regulated industries is preferred.
  • Experience with Solution Selling, Demo2Win, and MEDDIC/MEDDPICC methodologies is beneficial.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 per year, based on various factors including experience and location.
