The Technical Lead for the DevOps team will drive engineering excellence across infrastructure, SDLC, and observability domains.
This senior individual contributor role involves leading the technical direction of the DevOps team, mentoring engineers, and partnering with domain product teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure systems.
The role includes owning complex infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation and establishing best practices that elevate the entire engineering organization.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years focused on DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
Deep experience with cloud platforms is required, with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP); AWS or Azure experience is acceptable.
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform, is necessary.
Strong experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes) and CI/CD systems is essential.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to lead technical initiatives and influence without direct authority.
Excellent communication skills are required, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare technology or other regulated industries, familiarity with the backend stack (Node, TypeScript, Express), experience building and scaling observability platforms, and a track record of improving developer experience and deployment velocity.
