Description:

Design and implement scalable, high-throughput data ingestion systems integrating internal and external data.
Build core data platform components focusing on code quality and reliability, including ingestion, validation, orchestration, and lineage.
Develop a centralized data lake using Apache Iceberg or similar formats.
Work across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) for cloud-agnostic data ingestion and processing.
Contribute to the Semantic layer for BI and analytics teams.
Collaborate with Senior Data Engineers, Platform Engineers, and Analytics Engineers on data production, storage, and consumption.
Establish engineering standards for testing, observability, and operational excellence.
Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, and design discussions.

Requirements:

8-10+ years of experience in software or platform engineering, focusing on scalable data and analytics platforms.
Strong understanding of data ingestion patterns at scale and data modeling for data lakes.
Proven experience in building and operating large-scale data pipelines in production.
Experience with modern data warehouses like Databricks, BigQuery, or Snowflake.
Proficiency in Python and SQL, focusing on production-quality code.
Hands-on experience with cloud data services in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Familiarity with query engines like Presto or Trino for analytics over data lakes.
Knowledge of Lakehouse architectures and table formats such as Iceberg or Delta Lake.
Familiarity with data governance, lineage, metadata, cataloging, and data quality practices.
