Description:

  • The Principal Field Application Engineer will work collaboratively with customers to architect next-generation devices using Lightmatter’s photonic interconnect technology.
  • This role involves close collaboration with Tier 1 Semiconductor companies and requires defining optimal technical solutions.
  • The engineer will support deep technical discussions focused on high-speed serial I/O design and must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Responsibilities include providing full technical support for customer HSIO design, developing technical proposals, training the FAE team, and collaborating with Lightmatter Engineering.

Requirements:

  • A BS or MS in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in the high-tech electronics industry, specifically in high-speed serial I/O design.
  • In-depth knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity simulation, and familiarity with SI/PI EDA simulation tools is essential.
  • Strong customer-facing skills and effective communication abilities with customers are necessary.
  • Candidates should be action-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience in developing and delivering technical presentations to various stakeholders is required.
  • The ability to build trusted working relationships across teams is essential for improving coordination and execution speed.
